Buying from abroad

From first call to front door

Many of our buyers live in London, Dubai, Muscat or Toronto. The process is built so you only need to fly in for the keys — or not at all.

  1. Live video viewing

A walk-through on your schedule. We open every cupboard and step out onto every terrace.

    Week 1
  2. Reserve the home

A holding deposit takes it off the market while checks run. Refundable if the title isn't clean.

    Week 1–2
  3. Independent legal checks

An advocate you choose searches the title, permits and any charges, and explains your ownership route.

    Week 2–5
  4. Sign and pay in stages

Agreements signed digitally or by power of attorney. Payments follow agreed milestones.

    Week 5–8
  5. Keys, then care

Handover with a full condition report. We can furnish, let and manage the home for you.

Questions buyers ask first

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, ask it on a viewing call.

Can non-citizens buy property in Tanzania?
Rules for non-citizens differ from those for citizens, and the right route depends on the property and your plans. Before you pay more than a holding deposit, an independent advocate explains which route applies to you, in writing.
Which currency do I pay in?
Our prices are quoted in US dollars. Payment currency and schedule are set out in each sale agreement before you sign.
Can I buy without visiting Dar es Salaam?
Yes. Viewings run on live video, documents can be signed digitally or through a power of attorney, and your advocate can act for you locally.
Who looks after the home when I'm away?
We can. Our lettings team finds tenants, collects rent, handles repairs and sends you a short monthly report. You can also simply leave it closed and checked weekly.
